An eco-dining experience on the lagoon.
A Lagoon Park with entertainment boat services has been developed to promote tourism and recreation, allowing visitors to enjoy boat rides and the natural lagoon scenery of the Batticaloa Lagoon.
Four named services operate at the park — each offering a different way to experience the water. See the Lagoon page for more about the lagoon itself, or the KUC website for current operating information.

Inaugurated 22 March 2026
The Lagoon Park and Tourist Boat Service was formally inaugurated on Sunday, 22 March 2026, in the presence of Member of Parliament M.L.A.M. Hizbullah, with the patronage of Urban Council Chairman S.H.M. Asfar.
