Presidential Environment Award 2019
National recognition of the Council's environmental work.

National recognition for Kattankudy's environmental leadership — the Presidential Environment Award in 2019 and 2024, and the Green Energy Champion award.
Kattankudy’s environmental turnaround has been recognised nationally. The Urban Council received the Presidential Environment Award in 2019 and again in 2024 at bronze level, along with being named a Green Energy Champion in 2019.
The awards sit alongside the solid waste management journey they honour — from the crisis years to the zero-waste vision the Council pursues today.
